A village lad of 12 years age left his
native village in the French Colony of Pondicherry in 1946 searching for
growth opportunities, with eyes full of dreams and heart full of
ambition.This is how the illustrious founder of the group set his own
showroom Alagappa Jewellery in Cuddalore. Of course this was after
twenty years of hard work, passionate learning and immaculate reputation
in the business. If the late Sri Amrthalingam Alagappan
was known best for his unwavering integrity and fine artistic instinct
in jewels making, it was the close relationship he built with his
customers that brought the customers for repeat business.
Today, the small establishment has grown
into five distinct entities, managed by the siblings of the founder.
Each one continues to echo the basic values built and nurtured by the
great founder of the group. The group today is a leading group of
jewelleries in Cuddalore & Pondicherry. Alagappa group has
diversified into other business areas like Marriage Halls, Residential
Complexes and Lodgings as well. The customers who have unflinching
loyalty, often running into generations. The sterling reputation of
integrity enjoyed by the group It is no wonder that the group is heading
towards its golden jubilee, with flying colours, in the year 2016.
